Dear SummerFun Families,
It is with deep disappointment that we must inform you that we have decided to cancel our in-person SummerFun program. Governor Baker’s phased plan, along with its anticipated safety requirements, does not enable us to implement a safe and enjoyable program at Ottoson for our nearly 1200 registered students.
We understand how much families have come to rely on our program for summer enrichment and child care and know that this change will have a major impact. Though the in-person SummerFun experience will have to wait until next year, we are creating ways to stay connected and provide your children with wonderful virtual opportunities.
In early June we will be launching a brand new catalog of SummerFun Online classes that we plan to run between June 29 and August 7 with both morning and afternoon options of varying lengths. We are working with our teachers to modify and shorten as many existing classes as possible for an online format as well as creating some completely new and exciting programs. While obviously not the same as being in-person, we think you will find classes that work for your family, with many of your favorite SummerFun teachers—who are becoming experts at teaching online.
We will be in touch in early June with details about priority registration for currently enrolled students. If at that point our online options don’t meet your needs, we will provide you with instructions on how to request a full refund, but hope you will consider supporting our organization by keeping any remaining balance on your ACE account for future use.
We are heartbroken that we won’t see you all in person this summer, but we look forward to connecting with you online. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued support.
