Winter 2023
COVID-19 Policy
Based on recommendations from school and town officials, ACE will not be requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19 for students or instructors. Masks continue to be optional. We will continue to monitor the path of COVID-19 and will make any necessary changes to our class locations and/or schedule. Please check back for updates.
The following Isolation & Quarantine procedures are currently in effect in the Arlington Public Schools:
- Quarantine (close contact with a COVID-19 positive individual) is no longer required nor recommended, regardless of vaccination status or where the exposure occurred. All exposed individuals may continue to attend classes as long as they remain asymptomatic. Those who can mask should do so until Day 10, and it is recommended that they test at home on Day 5 of exposure. Day 0 is the day you were exposed to someone with COVID-19. If symptoms develop, follow the guidance for Isolation.
- Isolation (for positive COVID-19 individuals) – Those who test positive must isolate for at least 5 days. If they are asymptomatic or symptoms are resolving and they have been fever free without the use of fever-reducing medicine for 24 hours, they may return to activities after Day 5 and should wear a high-quality mask through Day 10:
- If the individual is able to mask, they must do so through Day 10.
- If the individual has a negative test on Day 5 or later, they do not need to mask.
- If the individual is unable to mask, they may return to class with a negative test on Day 5 or later.
- Note: Day 0 is the day your symptoms began or the day you were tested if you were asymptomatic.
- If the individual is able to mask, they must do so through Day 10.
*If you were severely ill (were hospitalized) or have a weakened immune system, you should consult your healthcare provider before leaving isolation.
