Who Can Enroll?

Anyone can enroll in our classes at the same low tuition. We welcome residents of Arlington and non-residents. Adult classes are open to ages 18+ unless otherwise noted. We strive to provide safe, accessible, and comfortable classes for students of all races, ages, genders, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, abilities, statuses, and every other category protected by federal or state law.

Parents may not bring minor children to adult classes unless otherwise noted.

ACE does not allow unregistered students to observe, drop-in, or try out our classes.

You are officially enrolled as soon as your payment is processed, and you receive a course confirmation via email.

ACE does not prorate tuition.

Please register early! Many classes fill fast and low-enrolled classes are cancelled.

Waitlists

If the class you want is full, sign up for the waitlist. We often get last-minute changes or add sections when possible. You must enter a credit card to join the waitlist. We will contact you if a spot becomes available and ask permission to charge your card.

Email/Text Communications

Please register using an email address that you check regularly. ACE uses email to communicate details, including class reminders, parking, cancellations, supplies, plus any teacher updates.

Please add your mobile phone number to your profile and allow text messaging. We only text with important, last-minute communications, such as weather or teacher absences, and not for marketing purposes.

Class Details

Class times and locations will be included in an automated Course Reminder email that is sent 48 hours before your class. If you can’t find it, search your email for a message from Arlington@CE.Eleyo.com. You can also find this information in your online ACE account. Go to your Dashboard to view your current classes, which you will find under Explore All Programs.

For in-person evening classes, we will email you instructions for parking and building access before your class begins. ACE staff will be on site to direct you to your classroom.

Please be on time for your class to ensure minimal disruption to the instructor and fellow students. In certain cases, latecomers may be turned away, and a refund will not be issued.

We do not allow unregistered students to drop-in, try, or observe classes.

Minors may not attend adult classes with their parents, nor may they wait in the building unattended during a parent’s class.

Withdrawals & Changes

There are no credits or refunds once a class has started or for student absences and/or late arrivals. Before class begins, email withdrawal requests during our business hours (M–F, 9 am–4 pm) to CommunityEd@arlington.k12.ma.us; requests that come outside of those hours will be considered the following day.

  • 10+ business days before class: refund less 10% (max. $25)
  • 5–9 business days before class: refund less 20% (max. $35)
  • Fewer than 5 business days before class starts: no refunds or credits

If you would like to transfer your registration to a friend or family member, you must contact ACE before the start of class.

*NOTE: SummerFun and VacationFun have separate cancellation/withdrawal policies.

Credits

To redeem an existing ACE credit, please register and pay in full for your classes, then email us within 24 hours with the subject line “ACE credit.” We will refund you for the amount of the ACE credit. Note that your credit balance will not appear in your online dashboard. If you have any questions about your credit, please contact us.

Cancellations

ACE reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment or other considerations. If we cancel your class, you will receive a full refund to your original form of payment.

If the Arlington Public Schools are closed during the day due to holidays, school vacations, or inclement weather, ACE classes will not be held. If school is in session and weather becomes inclement during the day, cancellations will be posted on our website, emailed, and texted (please opt in for text!).

If your class is cancelled due to weather, we will make every effort to reschedule a make-up date. We cannot offer refunds or credits for weather-related changes. Online classes will typically run in inclement weather.

Tuition Assistance

Partial tuition assistance is available for most classes for qualifying Arlington residents. See details and application.

Photo/Video Permissions

We may occasionally post student work to our website or take pictures or videos of students in our classes for use in print and digital promotions. Your enrollment in a class indicates your approval for this.

To preserve privacy, we do not allow students to take video or audio recordings of our classes.
